The Universal School, Ghatkopar in its endeavor to engage in developing and articulating a new vision for knowledge provides opportunities to students to share ideas with various link schools across the globe through collaborative projects. This helps the learners to develop effective communication skills, examine different perspectives and deeper understanding of global issues, thus preparing them for face the challenges of the 21st century with confidence and strength of character.
We are a Fair Trade Pilot School
Part of the first pilot project of Fairtrade India and campaigning for the cause of farming crisis. We are also very proud of our students who have contributed colorful patches with messages of solidarity to our farmers for India’s largest T-Shirt Project.

Tony Blair Face to Faith Foundation Gold Award
The Universal School has been declared the recipient of Gold Award by Tony Blair’s Face to Faith foundation for the outstanding participation in community activities and sharing views on Freedom of Religion and belief and a fair world for all through video conferencing with link schools across the globe
Commonwealth Class Runner-up Award for The Universal School, Ghatkopar.
Students of The Universal School, Ghatkopar were part of Commonwealth class team comprising of ten schools across the world. Our work was judged on collaboration, innovation, impact & quality at a global level. We are the proud recipient of the Runner-up Award and have won a hardback copy of “A River of Stories” by the Commonwealth Education Trust.
Eco School Project
As an Eco School, our students have worked on the Waste Management Theme and the School has received the “Eco Schools India Handprint Awards 2015”

The blog created by the students of The Universal School to share their experience of running their existing business “Universal Handicrafts” announced a winner of the blog competition at the global level by the British Council School Enterprise Challenge Team.

Winners of Get Connected competition to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014
Students of The Universal School participating in a video conference with Mayfield School, UK on the topic of the rights of girls and women.
Students shared the opportunities and barriers for women and girls in India. They spoke about women in the workplace, how women are expected to balance career and issues around equal pay. The British students spoke about educational opportunities, the gender pay gap and the role of women in political life.
